Are you busy making excuses for your life or intervening in it? I read that in a book called Stop Doing that S*&t by Gary John Bishop. It’s a fantastic read, and that statement stuck with me.
The reality is, we are all really good excuses makers. However, excuses will leave you stuck right where you are. Change calls for intervention, not excuses. We can’t continue to snooze through life blaming other people, our circumstances, our past, things we did or didn’t have, or things that didn’t go your way. When you make excuses, you aren’t taking ownership of your life.
In this week’s Mindset Monday, I’m diving into this topic. It’s challenging and a little uncomfortable, but it’s a message every single one of us needs to hear. Why? Because, at the end of the day, you are the one that is responsible for where you are. You. Not anyone else.
Take a listen. Make notes. Look at your life. Where are you taking ownership? Where are you allowing yourself to be a victim? How can you change your thought process?
It’s time to hustle.
The hustle is necessary. No one is going to do the work for you. You don’t need excuses. You are part of the 1%, not the 99%. I’m excited for you. You are growing, learning, and getting better every single day.
Did you listen to last week’s episode on Raising your Standard? If not, I highly recommend going back and listening to it. It was a powerful message that we all should go back to every few months.
Keep pressing on. You’re working hard. Remember that the right actions will always bring the right results. If you’re ready for a change, but you don’t know where to start, let’s talk. You can book a free 30-min action call by clicking here.
Have a great week. Put those excuses aside and start making an intervention in any area of your life you want to change.
